Bush asks city to reimburse his $21K expenses

Former Blytheville City Treasurer Doug Bush is asking the city to reimburse him $21,034.01 for legal expenses and mileage after he says the Internal Revenue Service concluded he bore no responsibility for the delinquent payroll taxes. In a May 23-dated letter addressed to Councilman Tommy Abbott, chairman of the Finance and Purchasing Committee, Bush requested reimbursement of $20,840.21 for legal fees to Deininger, Wingfield & Corry, P.A., and an additional $193.80 for "mileage to Little Rock to meet attorney" on March 25, 2011. ...
