The Manila Fire Department held its first Glow Run on Friday night to kick off the 5th annual Blazin’ BBQ Festival which was held on Saturday. Fire Chief Sonny Ray Dill welcomed the runners and walkers as they adorned themselves with glow sticks for the night run gathering at King’s Station on Main Street at 9 p.m. Members of the fire department and the police department were stationed around the trail as runners made their way around town. No entry fees or prizes were awarded... it was all in fun and a good way to kick off the festival. Firefighters on side-by-side with lights followed the runners to keep them safe.
