Mary R. Farrow
Mary R. Farrow, 95, of Manila, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Mary was born in Harrisburg to John and Ida (Embry) Sarter. She was retired from American Greetings and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mary loved to quilt and garden, especially working in her flower beds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harlion “W.H” Farrow; her parents; three children, Mary Quick, Billy Farrow and Bobby Farrow; brother, John C. Sarter; two sisters, Lena Cole and Geraldine McKeown; son-in-law, Tommy Gilbert; and a granddaughter, Tina Choquet.
Mary leaves two children, Clara Gilbert of Steel, Mo., and Brenda Hall and husband Buddy of Palm Bay, Fla.; one sister, Gladys Clifton of Corning; son-in-law, Danny Quick of Blytheville; daughter-in-law, Kaye Farrow of Manila; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Eddie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home.
