Patsy Joyce Whitley
Patsy Joyce Whitley of Monette departed this life Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 66. She was born Sept. 3, 1947 in Black Oak, the daughter of Lawrence Whitley and Leona Hill Whitley. Patsy was a member of the Black Oak Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening and yard work. She also enjoyed helping others with their home decorating needs and was very family oriented. She loved shopping and spending time with her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Whitley; a son, Kevin James; a brother, Dwayne Whitley; a sister, Wyvonne Whitley, and a nephew, Kim Qualls. She is survived by her mother, Leona Whitley of Black Oak; a son, Kris James of Black Oak; two sisters, Peggy Jane Holland and husband George Edd of Monette and Deborah Dunigan and husband Eddie of Black Oak; and two granddaughters, Erin James and Morgan James.
Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Eddie Dunigan officiating. Interment followed in Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Friends visited at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. till service time.

Her nephews, Kirk Qualls, Tommy Dunigan, Johnny Dunigan, Bishop Whitley, Jason Brewer, Justin Patterson, Justin Gathright, Brett Hickman, Aaron Liles and Blake Hawkins served as pallbearers.
