Wayne K. Marean
Wayne K. Marean, 74, of Mountain View, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born April 7, 1939 in Portland, Maine, to Kenneth and Lorraine (Fogg) Marean. Mr. Marean worked as a machinist for Southworth, Inc. for 43 years in both Portland, Maine and Manila, Ark. After retiring from Southworth, Inc. he went to work for Wal-Mart in Mountain View for five and a half years. He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Folklore Society of Mountain View. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and was a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association for over 20 years and traveled all over the United States and Canada. He also took great pleasure in his cats and loved each and every one of them.
He is survived by the love of his life, Bernetta Marean; step-daughter, Lynne Crandall and husband David Silk of Portland, Maine, and step-son, Scott Crandall of Mechanic Falls, Maine; as well as four step-grandchildren, Ellen, Tommy, and Peterson Silk and Preston Crandall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lorraine (Fogg) Marean.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
