Jeneva "Nanny" Tucker

Mrs. Jeneva "Nanny" Tucker, age 91, longtime Manila resident and widow of Mr. Joe Bill Tucker, died early Tuesday May 14, 2013, at her home. Born at Shady Grove she was the daughter of the late William Daniel and Mamie Williams Crow and had lived most of her life in Manila.

She and her husband had lived in Salem, Ark., for several years and returned home to Manila nine years ago. Jeneva loved spending time with her family, working in the garden, taking care of her flowers, sewing, quilting, and attending church at Soul's Harbor where she was baptized at the age of 89.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Edwin Chaffin, Henry Crow, Roland Crow, Borden Crow; and two great-grandchildren, Eva Adams and Ali Tucker.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Linda Tucker and Mike and Joan Tucker of Rogers; a daughter, Polly Adams of Lampasas, Texas; a brother, Vernon Crow and his wife, Joyce of Viola. She also leaves her grandchildren, Karla and Bobby Williams, Glenn and Sheila Adams, Dean and Tonya Tucker, Angie and Leonard Ridley, Ryan and Amy Tucker, Alecia and Tim Pollard; Great-grandchildren, Brittany and Caleb Farley, Jared Williams, Beau Tucker, Tyler Ridley, Cole Ridley, Lily Tucker, Breanna Tucker, Geneva Adams, Ida Adams, Amanda and John Frazier, Chad Miles, Chelsea and T. J. Wood, and great-great-grandchildren; Aiden Massey, Addyson Massey, and Aleck Frazier.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 17, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. David Fair officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Adams, Dan Gamble, Gary Jolliff, Sonny Ashley, Fred Fleeman, and Tommy Dillon. Honorary pallbearers will include, David Edwards, Michael Massey, Danny Lewis, Donald Lasater, and Chuck McWhirter. Friends may sign the online guest register
