Jerry Donald Bowman

Jerry Donald Bowman, 66, of Osceola entered into rest Sunday, June 26, 2011. He was born Feb. 12, 1945 in Osceola, Ark., to Otis and Mildred Bowman. He was a butcher at Food Giant in Osceola and a member of Westside Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Donald (Donnie) Bowman (Julie) of Manila; one daughter, Jennifer Hovis (Matt) of Manila; five grandchildren, Chad Bowman, Stephanie Day, Blake Bowman, Caroline Hovis, and Maddie Hovis; one great grandchild, Maggie Hubbard; one sister, Shirley Sammons (Johnny) of Manila; three brothers, Bill Bowman (Fran) of Searcy, Wayne Bowman (Mary Ruth) of Brookhaven, Miss., and Steve Bowman of Leachville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Peggy Brooks, and two brothers, Charles Bowman and Gary Bowman.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29, at Roller-Swift Chapel with Brother Matthew Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.
