Mr. Kenneth Eugene Doyle, Sr., 75, of Pocahontas, Ark., died on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at his home. Mr. Doyle was born on Oct. 25, 1935, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late James Frank Philip and Maudie Mae Creel Doyle. Mr. Doyle was a member of the West Ridge Church of Christ, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was an avid Cardinal baseball fan.
Survivors include, his wife of 57 years, Reva Hilburn Doyle; one son, Kenneth Eugene Doyle, Jr. and wife Micki of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Debra Denise Medcalf and husband Jeff of Paragould, Ark., Donna Dorene Lemmons and husband Rick of New Albany, Miss., and Deanna Darlene Hammond and husband Jon of Gentry, Ark.; one brother, Col. Glenn Allen Doyle, retired, of Selmer, Tenn.; one sister, Dorothy Moore of Selmer, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Leslie Doyle, Richard Doyle, Raymon Doyle, and Cecil Doyle.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 3 p.m. at the Skaggs Church of Christ in Pocahontas with Mr. Gerald Fears officiating. The family received visitors on Saturday at the church from 1:00 pm until service time with Faith Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jeff Medcalf, Sr., Jeff Medcalf, Jr., Rick Lemmons, Jacob Lemmons, John Kirby, and Shawn Foster. Honorary pallbearers were Jon Hammond and Joshua Lemmons.
