Tommy Dean Roach, 49, of Clarkton, Mo., formerly of Manila, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Southaven, Miss. Born at Helena, he was the son of the late Betty June Deason Brown and had lived most of his life in this area. He was a 1980 graduate of Manila High School and was a loan officer for A&A Finance Company in Kennett. He was a member of Stanfield Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Busby.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Dorman and Shirley Roach of Dundee, Miss.; four brothers, Allen Roach and Brooks Roach, both of Dundee, Miss., Mark Brown of Cave City, and Nicholas Brown of Batesville; his aunt, Mary Lou Deason of Manila; three nieces, two nephews, and his special friend, Terry Johnson, and family of Clarkton, Mo.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery.
The family received visitors Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
