Alice Rolland Estes, 95, formerly of Monette passed away Friday, April 8, 2011, at Lakeside Nursing Center. She was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Letona to the late William and Pearl Pearce. She was homemaker and was a member of the Monette Assembly of God.
Survivors include her children, Bill Rolland, Glen Rolland, Larry Rolland and Patsy Redding, all of Monette, Freda Vaughn of Montrose, Mich., Shirley Johnson of Muncie, Ind., Dwayne "Jack" Rolland of Festus, Mo., Fred Rolland of Ocala, Fla., Benny Rolland of Farragut, Tenn., and Jerry Rolland of Nixa, Mo.; 30 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, William Rolland; her second husband, William Estes; two step-children, Lovetrice Helms and Kenneth Rolland.
A celebration of her life was held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, at the Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with Rev. James Moore officiating. Burial followed at Macey Cemetery near Monette.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were grandsons and as honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren.
