Mrs. Shirley Juanita Jones, 61, of Leachville, AR, died on Monday, Nov. 08, 2010, at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Jones was born on July 20, 1949, in Blytheville, to Marron Frances and Norma Inez Hice. Mrs. Jones was formerly employed at American Greeting, enjoyed traveling across country with her husband in his truck and loved listening to music.
Survivors include her husband Lourman Johnson of the home; one son: James Wynne of Caraway; one daughter, Therese Jones of Booneville, Ark.; her mother: Norma Gann of Booneville; five brothers: Jerry Hice of Mississippi, Rickey Hice of Fort Smith, Ark., Joe Hice of Fort Smith, Terry Hice of Van Buren, Ark., and Isson Hice of Marion, Ark.; one sister Sue Toon of Fort Smith, Ark.; a half-brother Tray Gann of Booneville and a half sister Tammy Gann of Booneville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Ms. Jones was preceded in death by her father; four brothers; Buck Hice, William Hice, David Hice and Verlon Hice; two sisters Freeda Hice and Nina Sue Hice.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas with Rev. Roy Kelems officiating. The family received visitors on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 6:00 -- 8:00 p.m. at Faith Funeral Service. Interment followed at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah, Ark.
