James Wilson Paterson, Jr., 80, of Little Rock, formerly of Leachville, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at the Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincents Doctors Hospital in Little Rock. Born at Yellville, he was the son of the late James and Louanne Doshier Patterson and was raised in Leachville. He was a graduate of Leachville High School and Arkansas State University and also served in the U.S. Army. He retired after 32 years with Sears Credit having worked throughout the southeast territory. He was a Mason, a Shriner, an avid golfer and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Winnie Patterson Pierce.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Arnold Patterson, of Little Rock; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Diane Patterson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Steven Michael Patterson and Kimberly Patterson.
