Pauline Turpin, 90 of Lakeside Nursing Home in Lake City, formerly of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born in Burnsville, Miss., on April 2, 1917, to Walter and Martha Carney.
She is survived by her sons, Danny Turpin and Jackie Turpin, both of Jonesboro; her daughters, Barbara Olivier of Nashville, Willa Jean Grammer of Hernando, Miss., and Gerri Farmer of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orville R. Turpin; two sons, Denvard Turpin and Orville Turpin, Jr.; a daughter, Faynette Cross; one brother and five sisters.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home chapel with Steve Albonetti officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Turpin, Brad Grammer, Kevin Cross, Todd Hansen, Dustin Turpin and Adam Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers were Jason Stone, Michael Turpin, Brett Casey and Elvis Poe.
