Gay Jones, born in Manila on Dec. 2, 1946, went home to the Lord Tuesday, July 11, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Dorthy Carter. She was a lifelong resident of Manila and had worked for a couple different employers in Manila.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Shane Thompson; a sister, Dorothy Farrow of Manil; and nieces and nephews who were very dear to her heart, Mia and Cory Quarles and their daughters, Payden, Sidney, and Brook, all of Mountain Home, Heather Dozhier, Ashley and Aaron McGill and their daughter, Nicole, all of Manila, and many other family and friends who were special to her.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 14, in the Chapel at Howard Funeral Service in Manila.

"Do not grieve for me, for now I'm free."
