Lillian Carroll Brown, 85, of Osceola, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at South Mississippi County Regional Hospital. Born Thursday, Aug. 5, 1920, in Rockbridge County, Vir., to Yost Connor and Mary (Irving) Connor, she was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Osceola.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James O. Brown, of Osceola; four sons, Franklin Brown of Clearfield, Utah, Dean Brown of Osceola, Philip Brown of Little Rock and James (Jimmy) Brown of LaMesa, Calif.; two daughters, Carroll Hall of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Mary Beth Chipman of Manila; a brother, Lewis Conner of Lexington, Vir.; a sister, Edna Rumsey of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Roller-Swift Chapel in Osceola with Rev. Allen Rainey officiating. Interment was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Swift Funeral Home.
