Shelby Jean Ammons, 66, of Osceola died Friday, July 1, 2005, at SMC Medical Center at Osceola. Born at Athens, Ala., she was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, Carter Ammons and Jeff Ammons, both of Osceola; a daughter, Tracy Ammons of Osceola; two sisters, Mary Aycock of Marion and Sara Carlton of Lake City; four brothers, Paul Massey of Seattle, Buddy Massey of Greenbriar, and Grady Massey Jr. and Brian Massey, both of Blytheville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola with Rev. Burl Loyd officiating. Burial was in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Osceola.
