Claude Miller, 98, of Leachville died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at the Monette Manor Nursing Center.

Born in Wynne, he was the son of the late George and Manie Miller and was a longtime Leachville area resident. He was a farmer.

He is survived by a son, Jackie Miller, of Leachville; a daughter, Tinnie McConnell, of Hartford, Mich.; three brothers, George Miller and Frank Miller, both of Jonesboro, and Herbert Miller of Cardwell; three sisters, Katheryn Miller of Pecatonica, Ill., Betty Frazier of Arbyrd, and Mary Ann Campbell of Murray, Ky.; 27 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Potter Miller; four sons, Eugene Miller, Joe Miller, Marvin Miller, Bond Lee "Bonnie" Miller, three brothers; a sister; a grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Donny Morrison officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
