Madge M. Andrews, 76, of Jonesboro died Saturday, March 26, 2005.
Born in Calico Rock, she had lived in Caraway and Lake City before moving to Jonesboro in 1945. A homemaker, she operated Madge's Tot-to-Teen Shop in Jonesboro for several years. She was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Denise Andrews of Crawfordsville; a brother, Billy Staggs of Jonesboro; four sisters, Mary Manis of Springfield, Mo., Reba Hook of Lake City, Jean Staggs and Joan Carter, both of Jonesboro; two granddaughters, Ashley Andrews of Nashville, Tenn., and Autumn Goulding of Valdosta, Ga.; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin A. Andrews; two daughters; a son; her parents, Amos and Mary Gladys McSpadden Staggs; and a sister.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial was private.
