James "Jay" Thomas, 76, of Paragould died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born at Paragould, he was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a retired factory worker.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Thomas of Palmdale, Calif., Bob Thomas of Port Hueneme, Calif., and Steve Thomas of Cuba, Mo.; a daughter, Cheryl Bryan of Paragould; a sister, Jean Walker of Cardwell; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Maxine Thomas; a son, James Perry Thomas Jr.; a daughter, Diana Jean McGrath; his parents, James Ollie and Annie Almira Hyde Thomas; and two brothers.
A graveside service with Royce Boiling officiating was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Finch Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Paragould. Military honors will be provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4556 of Pocahontas.
