Earl Franklin Hoggard, 82, of Paragould, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born Dec. 13, 1922, in Sharp County. He was a city worker for LaPorte, Ind., and had farmed in the Milligan Ridge area. He was a member of the Church of God of LaPorte, Ind.
He is survived by a son, Marvin E. Hoggard of Paragould; a daughter, Earlene Shrable of Paragould; two sisters, Nona Mitton of Buchanon, Mich., and Florence V. Adams of Wheatfield, Ind.; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maple Ruby Hoggard; his parents, Cecil and Julie Hennessee Hoggard; sisters, Lola, Bertha and Virgie, and brothers Paul and Bobby.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Health Colonial Chapel with Rev. Marty Russell and Rev. Ryan Shrable officiating. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.
