Lloyd Lester, Jr., 59, of Manila died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2004, at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Lloyd G. and Audrey Hicks Lester and was a lifelong Manila resident. He was a retired mechanic and was a member of Union Band Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Decker Lester, of the home; a son, Rodney Decker of Manila; three daughters, Rhonda Decker, Theresa Lester, both of Manila, and Terri Hall of Lake City; five brothers, Billy Lester, Danny Lester and Glen Lester, all of Manila, John Lester of Leachville and Robert Lester of Malvern; four grandchildren, Ashley Hall, Cody Hall, Tera Johnson and Lisa Johnson.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with burial in the Manila Cemetery.
