Polly Cullum, 80, of Monette, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was a retired clerk for Montgomery Ward, a member of Monette First United Methodist Church, and a lifetime resident of the Monette area.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Cullum of Germantown, Tenn., Terry and Joe Cullum, both of Jonesboro; a daughter, Gayla Jones of Black Oak; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, James and Sarah Birmingham, and her husband, Gail Cullum, and three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. John Paul Maynard officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers were Jonathan Cullum, Kevin Cullum, Bradley Cullum, Daniel Cullum, Chuck Ray, and Jackie Sparkman. Honorary pallbearers were Blake Cullum and Bruce Salyers.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the Monette First United Methodist Church.
