Lola Irene Smith, 77 of Manila, widow of Bill F. Smith, died Monday, June 28, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Willie Town, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Will and Maggie Martin Ewing and was a lifelong Manila area resident. Mrs. Smith was of the Pentecostal faith.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Smith, of Manila.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Smith; two brothers, Marvin and Henry Ewing, and a sister, Dorothy Gamble Greer.

A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Manila Cemetery with Rev. Glenda Johnson officiating. Howard Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.
