Troy V. Jones, 86, of Lake City, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at his residence.
He was a retired telephone construction worker, of the Baptist faith and had lived in Monette three years, formerly of the Half Moon Community.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Jones, of the home; two sons, Johnny Jones of Monette and Earl Jones of Blytheville; two sisters, Inez of California, and Stella of Missouri; a half sister, Joan Master of Manila; a brother, Coy Jones of Montana; a half-brother, Charles Jones of Michigan; three step-brothers, Harold of California, Thomas of California and Danny of Missouri; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John A. and Marure Jones, two sisters, three brothers, and stepmother, Jewell Nunnelly.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.
Active pallbearers were Sandy Henderson, Sam Ellington, Tom Steed, David Neisler, Bryan Griggs and Adam Griggs.
Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Jones, John A. Jones, Jr., Kayla Jones, Christopher Jones, Colby Jones, and Caitlyn Jones.
