James Paul Goodman, 70, of Leachville died Thursday, April 22, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born at Obion, Tenn., he was the son of the late George and Marie Hensley Goodman and had been a Leachville resident since 1999. He was a retired truck driver and was a United States Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Goodman, of the home; two sons, Billy Wayne Goodman, of San Antonio, Texas, and James Paul Goodman, Jr., of Bald Knob; four daughters, Margie Ann Ashby of Russell, Joy Ratliff of Bradford, Vicky Lynn Algood of Jacksonville, and Ginger Lee Perrett of Ward; a brother, Jerry Wayne Goodman of Sardis, Miss.; four sisters, Faye Skeen of Senatobia, Miss., Rosie Daniels of Coldwater, Miss., Margaret Ann Spencer of Tunica, Miss., and Jessteen Hudson of Sardis, Miss.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Howard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Donnie Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.
