She was born June 26, 1913, in Tiptonville, Tenn., the daughter of Joe and Myrtle Dillinger Adkins. She was a homemaker, a longtime Blytheville resident, and affiliated with the United Pentecostal church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being a grandma, and loved cooking.
She is survived by her children, Clarence A. Starnes of Thayer, Mo., Joyce Loyd and Brenda Behlmer, both of Blytheville, and Virginia Reams of Conway; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Starnes, and a son, Eugene Starnes.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Robert White and Rev. Larry Pierce officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
