Stella B. Wallace, 99, of Monette, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2003, at Monette Manor. She was a retired school teacher, certified flower judge, member of Monette First Baptist Church, member of Moentte Gardn Club and the Eastern Star. She had lived in the Monette area most of her life.

She is survived by a son, Danny Wallace, of Monette; two sisters, Billie Wilkes and Emma Jo Connor, both of Jonesboro; a brother, John Paul Masner of Monette; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Wallace, and her parents, Elmore and Meldora Masner; a daughter, Norma Joy Bearden, and a son, Richard Wallace, and two brothers, Elmer and Nathaniel Masner; three sisters, Mable Berry, Jessie Jance, and Minnie Helen Kaplan.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette. Grandsons and great-grandsons served as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Elizabeth Sunday School Class.
