Edith Mae Hicks - Leachville

Edith Mae Hicks, 78, of the Buckeye Community near Leachville died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Arbyrd, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Tom and Ethel Faulkner Dollins and was a lifelong resident of the Leachville area. She was the widow of Raymond "Farmer" Hicks and was a longtime member of the New Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cherry Hicsk of Leachville; two brothers, Dow Dollins of Edenburg, Texas, and Ralph Dollins of Houston, Texas; a sister, Essie Pace of St. Louis, Mo.; and a granddaughter, Kristie Sanders of Leachville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the New Providence Baptist Church near Leachville with Rev. Monroe Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville, Mo., under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
