Thomas Burdette Taylor - Wynne

Thomas Burdette Taylor, 82, of Wynne died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Monette, he was a retired farmer, a graduate of Childress High School and a member of Wynne Baptist Church. A World War II Army veteran, he moved to Cross County in 1964, where he farmed.

Survivors include his wife, Vona Mae Meacham Taylor of Wynne; five daughters, Tommye Gairhan of Trumann, Kathy Taylor of Memphis, Kaye Moore of Union City, Tenn., Debbie Carwell of Jonesboro and Dianne Weiss of Maumelle; a brother, L.H. Taylor of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Cornelius and Mary Alice Duncan Taylor, a brother and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wynne Baptist Church with the Revs. Archie Mason and John Caddy officiating. Burial was in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne.
