David Allen Stallings, 31, of Manila, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at his home. Born at Rockford, Ill., he had been a resident of Manila since 1972 and was a 1989 graduate of Manila High School. He was the manager of Harold's Furniture in Manila which is a longtime family owned business and attended the Church of God of Prophecy of Manila.
He is survived by a son, Cody Allen Stallings of Lake City; a daughter, Lynsey Stallings of Osceola; his parents, Harold and Stella Stallings of Manila; a brother, Greg Stallings of Manila; two sisters, Ramona Bruins of Nelson, Ill., and Peggy Fowler of Manila.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Jessee Whittington officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors this evening (Tuesday) from 6-8:30 p.m. at the funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Stokes, Marty Fleeman, Steven Green, Charles Wells, Jessie Proctor and Jimmy Triplett. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Fisher, Phillip Walker, Terry Green, Timothy Augustine, Dennis Bruins, Larry Whitwarth, Ronald Sammons and Mark Fleeman.
