Euel M. Timms, 65, a lifetime resident of Lake City, died Sunday, June 9, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a retired roofer and was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Timms of the home; four sons, Curtis Timms of Lake City, Rickey Timms of Jonesboro, David Timms of Piggott and Dennis Timms of Brookland; a daughter, Lisa Staggs of Lake City; four brothers, Billy Timms of Santa Paula, Calif., Delbert Timms of Lake City, Lonnie Timms of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Jackie Timms of Peru, Ind.; five sisters, Margie Carter of Marmaduke, Shirley Knatcal of Festus, Mo., Patricia Winford, Brenda Stotts and Wanda Beaty, all of Lake City; and 13 grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, in the Emerson Funeral Home Chapel in Lake City, with Rev. Raymond Clark and Rev. Tommy Stacy officiating. Burial was at the Lower Cane Island Cemetery near Lake City under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home in Lake City.
Active pallbearers were Gary Timms, Mike Timms, Jackie Winford, Kenneth Winford, Jeff Winford and Ronnie Joe Wooten.
Honorary pallbearers included Keith Timms, Lee Timms, Chad Timms, Ronnie Winford, Dallas Reece and grandchildren.
