Anna Mae Stone, 33, of Leachville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Leachville. Born at Kennett, she was lifelong Leachville resident and was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, Sammy Stone of Leachville; a son, James Ray Austin of the home; her father and step-mother, Burrell and Cordie Lee Dow of Leachville; a brother, Albert Dow of Berryville; three sisters, Mary Ann Masters of Harsville, S.C., Linda Jean Orr of Newport, and Marilyn "Tooter" Sevier of Clinton; 11 step-brothers, James Thomas, Shot Thomas, Johnny Thomas, all of Leachville, Jack Thomas of Mountain Home, Bo Thomas of Oxford, Ark., Charles Thomas and Tony Thomas, both of Moentte, Bill Thomas, Danny Thomas, Dean Thomas and Harvey Thomas, all of Clinton; six step-sisters, Bug Woodard of Ft. Smith, Doodle Irvin of Catron, Mo., Tootsie Towell and Linda Pendergrass, both of Monette, Debbie Pemberton and Joanie Cantrell both of Leachville.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Howard Funeral Chapel at Leachville with Rev. Charles Stoddard officiating. Burial was in Macey Cemetery at Monette.
