R.A. "Andy" Shultz, 77, of Blytheville died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola. Born Dec. 12, 1923, in Mississippi County, the son of Edgar and Myrtle Knuckles Shultz, he was a lifelong area resident. He attended Bethany Baptist Church. He was a retired instructor at Blytheville High School and was a member of the Arkansas Association of Retired Teachers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Josie "Alaine" Shultz, and a brother, Rev. Eugene Shultz.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelby Izmerian of Blytheville; a brother, Kenneth Shultz of St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters, Louise Hall of Gosnell, Betty Winchester of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Geneva Duvall of Lakeland, Fla., Bobbie Beasley of Paragould and Mary Ellen Elsworth of St. Louis; a grandchild, Christy Woody of Manila, and three great-grandchildren.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, the Rev. Gary Hyde and the Rev. Mike Brewer officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
