Firemen fight fire at apartment building

Blytheville firemen responded to a structure fire at the Heritage Apartments, located at 100 Willow Street, Wednesday morning. Eight apartments were occupied at the time and at least two apartments will not be able to have utilities restored as of press time. The Red Cross was called out to assist any families that were dislocated. The fire started near an electric stove in one of the upstairs apartments and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported...

County makes economic development appropriations

The Mississippi County Quorum Court approved $600,000 in economic development fund appropriations Tuesday night, all fulfilling commitments previously agreed upon in committee.
