Hallmark displays "Painted House" (04/16/03)
The Chandler homestead used in the filming of "A Painted House" is being reconstructed at the Hallmark Hall of Fame National Headquarters on Crown Center in Kansas City. The house will be on public display from April 18 through May 11. Visitors will only be allowed to tour the exterior of the home while it is on display. The first public viewing of the movie "A Painted House" will be aired April 27 on the CBS network...
Black Oak fish fry draws crowd (04/16/03)
The City of Black Oak served fried catfish, with all the trimmings, to the more than 200 guests in attendance at the 20th annual city-wide dinner held Saturday at city hall. Former Manila resident runs mushing race (04/16/03)
Allen Moore, formerly of Manila, ran the 300 mile Copper Basin Mushing Race from Glennallen, AK, in January. He was training new dogs and still came in eighth place.
