Carl "Bud" Selby

Carl "Bud" Selby, 94, of Pensacola, Fla., former longtime Leachville resident, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City, Ark. Born at Leachville he was the son of the late Floyd and Nora Hedrick Selby and was a 1936 graduate of Leachville High School. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and with his late wife, Jenna Lee Selby, owned and operated the Leachville Florist for many years. He was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Leachville and had been a resident of Pensacola for the past five years.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Selby, Jr. of Pensacola, Fla., and Dr. Michael Selby of Little Rock; one sister, Marjorie Cole of Leachville. Bud also leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Saturday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Burial followed in Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors Friday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home. Guest register is www.howardfuneralservice.com.
