Mrs. Mildred Louise Berry, 79, of Manila, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila she was the daughter of the late Ed Brown and Juanita Bullock and had lived most of her life in Manila. A 1951 graduate of Manila High School, she was a retired bank teller and longtime member of the Business and Professional Women's club. Mrs. Berry was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church and was also active in the United Methodist Women's organization.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mr. A. D. Berry of Manila; two daughters, Connie Joshlin of Brinkley and Sandra Watson and husband Lee of Trumann; five grandchildren, Amy Ward, Jonathan Watson, Jennifer Gordon, Lindee Salley, and Tera Bishop; five great-grandchildren, Brilee Medford, Sheridyn Salley, Millee Gordon, Turner Salley, and Charleigh Watson.

Funeral service was 10 a.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. John Henson, Rev. Allen Quinn, and Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating. Burial followed in Manila Cemetery.
