Mrs. Bonnie Sue Snider McAfee of Monette departed this life Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in an automobile accident on Highway 18 west of Monette. She was born May 12, 1935, in Monette, the daughter of Oscar Everette Snider and Katie Cleavel Stotts Snider. Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monette and loved the outdoors and working in the yard. She also loved to dance and was an avid purse shopper. Her daily ritual began each morning with coffee and ginger snap cookies. She worked for 27 years at Frolic Footwear in Monette and loved her dog Romeo.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. McAfee of the home; a son, Tommy Smith of Monette; two stepsons, Jerry H. McAfee of Paragould and Jim Smith of Jonesboro; a daughter, Tina Hawkins of Monette; two sisters, Brenda Sivils of Crossett and Carolyn Kee of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Amber Smithee, Kaley Hawkins, and Lillie Mae McAfee; and her beloved pet dog, Romeo.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at the Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Interment was in Monette Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Visitation was at the First Baptist Church in Monette Saturday from 12:30 until service time.

Perry Wimpy, Mike Smith, Glen Sivils, Jeremy Williams, Alvis Lee Snider and Rudy Snider served as pallbearers.
