Frances Divona Reynolds Flynn

Frances Divona Reynolds Flynn, 76, of Lake City, formerly of Granite City, Ill., died Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Bernards Medical Center after a long illness. She was born April 30, 1936, in Viola, the daughter of Charlie Reynolds and Pearlie Lou Dillinger Reynolds. She married Frank Edward Flynn on May 2, 1952, and they celebrated 60 years together. Mrs. Flynn enjoyed gardening, painting, quilting, cooking, antiques, and playing music. Family and faith were very important to her. She and Frank were members of Needham Assembly of God Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Edward Flynn, of the home; one daughter, Frankie Flynn Kins, and husband David of Pueblo, Colo.; two sons, Phillip E. Flynn, and wife LeAnn of Pueblo West, Colo., and Aaron C. Flynn and wife Robin of Granite City, Ill; four sisters, Marie Dunkerson of Caraway, Lavora East of St. Peters, Mo., Colleen Thompson of Paragould, and Rebecca Boatman of Caraway; one brother, Robert Brown of Viola; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Gregg Funeral Home in Monette with the Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.

Visitation was at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Monday evening.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
