Edyth Mae Gilpatrick, 92, of Leachville, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the home of her daughter. Born in Van Buren County, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Alex and Dora Campbell Skidmore and had been a Leachville resident for over 60 years. She was retired form Leachville Public Schools and was a longtime member of the People of Praise United Pentecostal Church in Leachville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include four daughters, Dora Biggerstaff of Leachville, Genevia Richards of Cahokia, Ill., Dola Henderson (Frank) of Atkins, Ark., and Deloras Austin (Bobby) of Leachville; a brother, Carl Skidmore of DeQueen, Ark.; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Bobby Austin officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Robert Clowers, Benny Blackman, Cody Austin, Eric Mauldin, Wayne Austin and Kenny Mauldin. Visitation was Friday evening.
