Clarence Alvin Wilson, 80, of Manila, died Wednesday Aug. 31, 2011, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Warren, Ark., he was the son of the late Dewey and Dovie Wilson and had been a longtime resident of Canal Point, Fla., before making his home in Manila four months ago. He was a retired welder with Glades Pump Corp. in Florida and he enjoyed buying and selling various items.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmo Wilson and Everett Wilson and a daughter, Mary Winstead.

He is survived by two Sons, Thomas Wayne Wilson of Manila and Alvin Lee Wilson of Lizella, Ga.; five Daughters, Nancy Ann McCallister of Canal Point, Fla., Bonnie Lou Crutchfield of Aiken, S.C., Connie Faye Byrd of Lizella, Ga., Joyce Marie Patterson of Manila and Peggy Ann Weber of Manila; a Brother, Dewey Joe Wilson of Bald Knob, Ark.; a Sister, Novell Treadway of Batesville, Ark. He also leaves 29 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
