Helen L. Patterson

Helen L. Patterson, 80, formerly of Black Oak died on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Crittenden Regional Hospital.

She was born May 6, 1931, in Monette to the late Henry and Elizabeth Gipson.

She was a homemaker and of the Church of Christ belief. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed gardening, ceramics and cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Patterson; a daughter and her husband, Sharon and Paul Foulk of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Pat Bryan of Collierville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Gipson and Marion Gipson; two sisters, Dean Kocher and Ruth Williams.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Caraway with Rev. Harley Kersey officiating. Burial followed in Monette Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation was Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at the Gregg Funeral Home in Caraway.

Lasting memorial may be sent to the American Heart Association.
