Troy Lee Case, 64, of Caraway, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. He had lived in Caraway since 1977 and attended The Rock of Northeast Arkansas. He has previously been a Sunday school teacher, song leader, and a member of the pastor's council. Troy was a former coach, teacher, and administrator for Buffalo Island Central and Riverside Schools. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Mo., and received his masters from Arkansas State University.

From 1964 until 1968 he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was aboard the USS Saratoga. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gail Case, of the home; daughters, Ashlie Case Patton and husband David of Portageville, Mo., and Allison Case of Jonesboro; brothers, Roy Case, of Lincoln, Neb., Richard Case of Risco, Mo.; sister, Joy Talley of Malden, Mo.; two grandchildren, Casen and Calin Patton.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at The Rock of NEA, 4318 E. Johnson, Jonesboro, with Pastor Terry Watson and Pastor Jeff Watson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Caraway Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Johnny McCormick, John Starnes, Buster Campbell, Gale Yates, John Michael Gordon, and Perry Hobbs.

Honorary pallbearers were Tony Stubblefield, Dennis Finch, Dennis Perkins, Tony McCormick, Dr. Rick Neeley, Terry Ramsey, Greg Rainwater, Kris Kelton, Dr. Dennis Parten, former girls basketball players, students and Riverside staff and administration.

Visitation was from 5-7 Wednesday night at The Rock of NEA.
