Ernest Page Clark, 75, died on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 8, 1934 to the late Connie Grady Clark and Minta Barber Clark in Raleigh, N.C. Mr. Clark moved to the Buffalo Island area in 1970, was of the Catholic faith, received his Masters Degree in English from Arkansas State University, served his country in the Navy and Air Force, worked as a police officer and for the Arkansas State Children and Family Services, and was a huge sports fan with a special loyalty to the State of North Carolina.

Survivors include two sons, Brian Clark and wife Brandy of Lake City, and Ralph Timothy Clark and wife Sharon of Rocky Mountain, N.C; a sister, Kay Johnson of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Brady, Brison, Melody, and Brittany; two great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Wanda Wilson Clark, one sister and three brothers.

A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Manila Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Ward officiating. Faith Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
