Douglas Wayne Lasater

Douglas Wayne Lasater, 66, of Manila, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at his home. Born at Manila, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marie Barnhart Lasater and was a lifelong Manila resident. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Lasater was a retired welder for Southworth Products Corp. of Manila.

He is survived by his wife, Rudy Price Lasater of the home; two sons, Mitchell Lasater and his wife, Tracy, of Leachville and Shane Lasater and his wife, Tamara, of Manila; a brother, Donald Lasater and his wife, Barbara, of Manila; a sister, Yvonne "Nate" Williams of Burnet, Texas; and three grandchildren, Allan Wayne Lasater, Breona Morgan Lasater and Samara Lasater.

The funeral was 2 p.m. Tuesday at Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery. The family received visitors Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. To sign the online guest register log on to howardfuneralservice.com.
