Ina Glidewell

Ina Glidewell, 80, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Monette Manor. She was born April 19, 1928, in Barned Grange, Ark., to the late James and Zela Voyles. She was a homemaker and a member of the Monette Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford Glidewell of Monette and Tony Glidewell and wife, Linda, of Manila; two daughters, Delilah Coker and husband, Rex, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Sandra Woodard and husband, Clarence, of Jonesboro; a brother, Bartus Voyles and wife, Betty, of Strawberry; sisters, Emma Whitley of Florida and Joyce Denton of Lake Charles; six grandchildren, Jamie Matheny (Tina), Joshua Rogers, Chelsey Yancey, Trey Selby, Jeryn Mayer, Kellye Glidewell; six great-grandchildren, Michael Alexander Matheny, Abbigale Grace Rogers, Harrison Tate Yancey, Hudson James Yancey, Eli Bradshaw Mayer, Olivia Riley Selby.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Glidewell; three brothers, Argus Voyles, J.D. Voyles and Coward Voyles; a sister, Chloea Bryant; and a grandson, Rodney Dale Alexander.

A celebration of her life was held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial followed in Marked Tree Cemetery.

The family requests lasting memorial be given to the American Cancer Society.
