Charles Davis

Charles Davis, 85, of Caraway, died Thursday, February 19, 2009, in St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was an Army veteran of World War II and of the Church of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Adaline Davis, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Laverne Davis of the home; a son, Charles David Davis, of Caraway; brothers, Winford Davis of Leachville, Benjamin Davis of Lepanto, Roger Davis of Corinth, Miss.; five sisters, Charlene Lawson of Gosnell, Lola

Woodard of Sikeston, Mo., Etta Helms of Lepanto, Jean Evans of Keiser, Barbara Davis of Searcy; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto. Funeral services began at 11 a.m. with Ronnie Lawson officiating.

Pallbearers were Matt Schneider, Chuck Davis, Robert Ingram, Ron Kulligowski, Kevin Kulligowski, Kevin Kulligowski and Blake Kulligowski.

Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
