Naomi Lynn Whitehead, 52, of Leachville, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at her home. Born at Monette, she was the daughter of the late Richard Chesley and Eugenia Hautence Fortson Roberts and had lived most of her life in the Leachville area. She was a retired convenience store manager and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clois Roberts, in 1997.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Whitehead; two sons, Larry Joe Whitehead and wife, Barbie, and Michael Allen Whitehead and wife, Jennifer; a daughter, Kandice Michelle Hawkins and husband, Chad, all of Leachville; two brothers, Kermit Ren Roberts of Sidon, Miss., and Richard Roberts, Jr., of Jonesboro; two sisters, Ethel Hetler of Leachville and Paula Thomas of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Tyler Hawkins, Destiny Hawkins, Krystyn Hawkins, Kara Hawkins, Sammy Whitehead, Caden Whitehead, and Riley Whitehead, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Rudy Burrow officiating. Burial was in Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors this Tuesday, Feb. 17.
