Odell Davis

Odell Davis, 85, of Leachville died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at Monette Manor. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Isebell Johnson and had lived most of her life in Leachville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Davis and Carl Fendley; and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Lawrence Davis, of Leachville; two sons, Ricky Davis and wife, Bonnie, of Leachville, and Rodger Myrick of Carrolton, Texas; two daughters, Dorothy Spurlock and husband, Mike, of Temple, Texas, and Sharon Miner and husband, Jacky, of Paragould; a brother, Ralph Johnson of Virginia; two sisters, Mary Wright of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Evelyn Lawrence of Apple Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Leachville Cemetery with burial under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.
