William Luther Mullins

William Luther Mullins of Lake City died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Jonesboro at the age of 56. He was born April 20, 1952, at Lepanto, the son of John Wesley and Rosie Mullins. He was a farmer for most of his life and had also worked 30 years for the Needham Monument Co. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by three sons, Scott Platt of Brookland, Jeff Platt of Paragould and Austin Tyler Lane of Caraway; two daughters, Stephanie Wilson of Henderson, Tenn., and Angela Campbell of Paragould; four brothers, James Mullins of Harrisburg, Calvin Mullins of Jonesboro, Jerry Mullins of Trenton, Tenn., and John Allen Mullins of Searcy; two sisters, Betty Breen of Jonesboro and Shirley Mourning of Searcy; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 in the Weston Funeral Service Chapel at Harrisburg with Pastor Stacey Prater and Billy Barnhill officiating. Interment was in Potters Cemetery at Lepanto.
